C.A.R.E Coco Animal Rescue & Education is committed to helping sick and abandoned animals, conducting Spay/Neuter Clinics and Education programs at the local schools about the health and proper care of pets in the Playas del Coco
Everyone is a volunteer except for the vets. We hire vets locally and from San Jose to do the spay/neuter clinics at a very low cost of C8000 ($16 US) .
Coco Playas Del Coco is a small fishing village and favorite vacation spot for Tico’s. Located in the northwest section of the Guanacaste providence. The streets use to be filled with dogs scavenging for food but CARE has helped bring that population down but a lot left to do. It is common for people to find 5-6 week old puppies on the street hungry and alone.
Animals Says it all, that is what it’s all about.
Rescue With a Foster/Adoption Program pending CARE will be able to help treat,medicate and monitor the progress of animals we help place. We can help insure the animal is cared for properly and spay/neutered at the proper time.
Education Teach families and children how to properly CARE for their animals through proper nutrition, exercise and grooming.
Educate about vaccines and the importance of Spay/Neuter the pets.
